In this the 19th year, you’ll be touring the Greater Damariscotta Area where our many friends are waiting to welcome you through their open doors and garden gates.
The nine properties you’ll be visiting offer something for everyone! A sneak preview: 1770 Capes that blend antique charm with today’s conveniences; dream of a riverfront lifestyle..don’t miss this owner built custom cottage or the smart contemporary..he has his kitchen and she has her design studio. Have retirement in mind, ready to downsize and have more time with friends, family & grandchildren? Wait til you see how it can be done by re-inventing 1960’s and 70’s ranch style homes. The Tour is planned to be interactive on all levels; our Homeowners will be on hand to answer all those questions: Who did your cabinets? What color is that? Replacement windows, really? We want to use local services….who do we call? Add to the fun, members of the Old Bristol Garden Club will be at several locations ready, willing, and able to share gardening tips. Mix, mingle, and plan to leave with great ideas, new friends, and practical advice. You may have come to the Tour wishing you could, but you’ll leave knowing that you can!
While you enjoy your day and plan that next project, you will also be contributing to the future of healthcare in our community. The Tour is a significant fundraiser for the League that benefits Miles Memorial Hospital and its satellites. In the last few years, the League has contributed over $500,000.00 which has helped purchase the new Digital Mammography Machine; Blanket Warmers in the Emergency Room; Healthcare Scholarships to local students; a bariatric lift; the Belknap Bed Fund.
