The Miles Memorial Hospital League was formed in 1930 as the Women's
Auxiliary for Lincoln Memorial Hospital (the original hospital in Damariscotta).
In 1941, when Miles Memorial Hospital was built, the group became officially
known as the Miles Memorial Hospital League. The original focus for the League
remains the same reason we are here today: to provide financial support and
service time to our community health care center... Miles Memorial Hospital.
What began with 25 women in 1930 has grown to more than 400 men and
women today. MMHL members support Miles Memorial Hospital through
volunteering and fundraising.
